In the process of product photography post-retouching, many friends who can use PS skillfully may not know what standard to retouch, or, in other words, what standard to judge the picture shooting good or bad, micro-shadow photography today to introduce some of the standards we work in retouching, there are five main points: color sense, texture, sense of light, volume, sense of structure, the following we briefly introduce these points.

Color sense generally refers to the color of the picture after the product is photographed, such as whether the color is accurate, whether there is color bias, color saturation, etc., and whether this information can accurately represent the product itself.

Texture refers to the perception of the material of the product itself; when we look at the product pictures, whether it can truly reflect the material of the product itself?

The sense of light refers to the effect of light and shadow we left on the product when shooting the product, whether there is a mess of light and shadow, whether the effect of light and shadow on the product is in line with the true visual effect or the principle of light transmission.

Volume sense, in post-production retouching, we often see some pictures feel like a piece of paper after repair, not a true response to the volume of the real product.

The sense of structure refers to whether the structure of the product itself can be truly reflected.

In product post-retouching, we just need to keep in mind these five elements, and use this as the standard to adjust and retouch the product, so that it can better show the product itself. In turn, we can also be the same in product photography, using the same five criteria to adjust the lighting and products to achieve a perfect shooting effect.
