Shooting water is also an excellent subject for photography; streams, waterfalls, and waves at the beach are all amazing scenes to shoot.

Shooting water, to show the effect of water, so choose the scene, must be selected "movement" of the body of water, like the beginning of the introduction of streams, waterfalls, seaside, these places, to shoot ornamental photos to, in shooting, we mainly by changing the shutter speed to shoot a different state of the water photos to show Different picture effects. Suppose we set the shutter speed between 1/2 second to 2 seconds. In that case, it can present a detailed texture of the water but also give a sense of haze, such as smooth milk white; if we speed up the shutter speed to increase 1/125 second and above, the flow of water can be frozen down, we can see the splash, as well as the actual state of the water. Of course, the specific water flow will show the above kind of effect is actually with the shutter speed and the speed of the water you shoot is complimentary, the same shutter speed, in different water speeds, the impact of the photo is different, so we go to a place to shoot water, according to the rate of the water to adjust your shutter speed to make the effect as you expected, so you need to shoot more than a few Test photos, look at the shutter speed, which one is most in line with your expectations, you can then use this shutter speed for composition shooting. If you want to take low-speed shutter photos instead of high-speed freeze frame waterworks, please make sure you prepare a tripod to take your slow shutter photos with the help of a tripod to ensure that the images are clear and sharp without blurring.

Shooting waterworks, in addition to shooting large scenes, the overall effect of the water subject, we choose to hit the local landscape, which is also a good direction of photography so that the water subject is more interesting. For example, we can shoot a small whirlpool in the stream, or hit a piece of rock in the stream, are the picture effect is excellent in small scenes. Shooting such small scenes, choosing a beautiful place around the environment as a shooting background, but also as a reflection to enrich the picture, or just hitting a small whirlpool, a small rock is not interesting; the image will look empty and bland, so that people look tasteless.

In a particularly well-lit environment, and we need the water to show a silky effect like milk, we need to let the shutter speed down. Still, in a well-lit environment, directly slow the shutter speed to shoot, the product is the scene overexposed; at this time, we must use a lens auxiliary (light reduction filter) to the overall light into the lens down to achieve the slow door accurate exposure shooting purpose. A polarizer can also save an emergency if you do not have a light-reducing filter. Still, the polarizer can only reduce the exposure by up to 2 stops, so its use has certain limitations.
